Preparation is Essential:
Before starting, ensure the bonnet is clean and free of dust. Gather the required tools like a squeegee, soapy water in a spray bottle, and clean microfiber cloths for a smooth installation.Installation Steps:
- Surface Preparation: Clean the bonnet thoroughly with automotive soap and water. Dry it completely and follow with an alcohol wipe to remove any lingering residues.
- Dry Fitting the Film: Before removing the backing, position the PPF over the bonnet to check the fit and alignment. Adjust as necessary to ensure it covers the entire area.
- Application Solution: Mix water with a few drops of baby shampoo in a spray bottle. Spray this solution generously on the bonnet and on the adhesive side of the PPF. This helps in positioning the film correctly.
- Applying the Film: Start applying the PPF from one end of the bonnet, gently smoothing it onto the surface. Use a squeegee to eliminate air bubbles and wrinkles, working from the center outwards.
